 Local Modified 54gm of Steve Thompson was in the box seat for the top of the podium with 2 heat wins before a retirement in heat 3 dropped him to an overall 3rd placing.

Local Hotshot 99gm Cleve Kokshoorn ran consistency enough to place 3rd on the stockcar podium. A valiant effort by local clubmates to eliminate the opposition was not quite enough to reach the top step.

Tq 82gm James Thompson would force a run-off for first place after tying on points with brother 28gm Rodney. A close 4 laps saw James hold composure to see off Rodney and be crowned King of The Coast Champion.

84c Kane Holtham was targetted for removal by 11gm Tony Stanton in an attempt to secure a home victory. They came very close to doing so but also had to contend with Nelson and Blenheim drivers with the same thought pattern.

Streetstocks where also mixing it up with the 211gm Robert Kirkwood receiving attention from 43c Kieren Skurr with some attempted defence from 18gm Stephen Sarchett.

4gm George Watson took care of the potential blocking threat of 87n Josh Nell during the final heat for stockcars as inter club rivalry saw plenty of action.

Nelson hotrods 8n Michael Paynter and 86n Shane Brooks would compete among themselves for bragging rights. they came home in 5th and 6th respectively as the first Nelson cars home.
